Question: Did hysteria drive King Saul to only imagine he saw the ghost of his late prophet in 1Samuel 28, or did Samuel truly rise from the grave?
Dr. Bullinger states that it “was a personating spirit” (i.e. a Demon), from the source of evil still used by mediums, and follows the behaviour of Saul throughout his life.
As you know, God strictly forbade such behaviour; Lev.19:31; 20:6 and 27; Deut.18:10–13 etc.
It is still the case today, and will be until the Lord returns, and Satan is bound!
