MOAB!

Question:  What  feelings is the LORD expressing about the next three years of Moab in Isaiah 16?

Moab is a Biblical name and an ancient place name.  In the Old Testament, Moab was the son of Lot.  The Kingdom of Moab, in modern-day Jordan, was Biblically significant for often being in conflict with Israel.

IMO, in the context of Isaiah Chapter 14 (Satan’s fall) and all the other nations who have been enemies of Israel, together with the breaking of “the Assyrian in My Land” 14:25, (which refers to the Anti-Christ in the yet future); makes these Chapters refer to the much awaited raising of Israel’s position and fortunes in the World's future.  See: Zechariah.

When Moab and all the other enemies of Israel are dealt with by the Risen Lord Jesus after His 2nd Advent, then Israel after their reinstatement will become “a Kingdom of Priests unto God".
