ISAIAH

Question:  What is the significance of the Book of Isaiah being referred to as “the first” Book?

The controversy re. the so-called “multiple authorship” of Isaiah, has been derided by serious Scholars.

The controversy continues, but is of little or no effect to Bible linked Christians.

The most marked facts are the comments by Jesus referring to Isaiah and Daniel regarding future prophecy concerning Himself as Messiah, Isa. 61:1–2 & Matt. 24.

Isaiah 61:1–2; confirms Jesus proclaiming “good tidings”, and “the acceptable year of the Lord”, at His 1st. Advent!

Daniel 9, shows the events on Earth to watch out for prior to His 2nd. Advent: which will not be as His first; but in “Power and great Glory”; dealing with His and Israel’s enemies!
