What is the Bible For?

Question:  What is the Bible for?  Could it be a book with vital information?  If not, do people seek counselling?

The Bible in these times is for historical information leading to the present, which as many people know is developing into critical world problems, which for fallen humans are impossible to solve.

The Bible in 2Timothy 3:16–17, give the statement from Almighty God, that the Bible is His Work, with men as the scribes (2Peter 1:21)!

Timothy 4:1, shows what is happening now!

Israel is the time post to the people of the world who will look, seek, and see!

The troubles in Israel are increasing, and are likely to reach a critical point when the subject of the “next Temple is raised.

The reason it will be a sore point is because the Temple Site has been occupied by Islamics since approx. AD 650!  There is also a Mosque on the site, which will lead to conflict if /when it is challenged!

However, the prophet Daniel was given remarkable information on this subject many years earlier, so a new Temple will be built, but under the auspices of a personage called the “Antichrist”, who the Jews and the Islamics will seem to trust!

The Antichrist will 3½ years after the Temple completion, set himself up “as God”, which will auger the “Great Tribulation”, with much loss of life, which will continue for approx. a further 3½ years (gives 7 years total), see Dan. 9:24–27)

The first Temple was in use from approx. the mid-10th Century BC, to 589 BC, when it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar.  The increasing sinfulness of Israel and their leaders; and particularly after the division of the Kingdom after the death of Solomon, and the increasing neglect of the people of their earlier vows to God; the stage was reached where God’s Glorious Presence vacated the Temple (Ezek. 8 to 11)!  At one stage the “backsliding” was so severe, that the Temple stopped being used, and the entrance was sealed, (2Chron. 28:24-25)!  It is notable that in the 2nd Temple, the “Glory of God” did not inhabit, as had been the case in the first!  It is also notable that in the time span from the death of Ezra and Nehemiah, the Jews again backslid, to the degree that the Pharisaic Priesthood had sanctioned the changing and removal of certain references to the nature of the Prophesied Messiah, and that is now incorporated in their Scriptures; see: Jewish Scriptures: and Changes Made To The Old Testament.

The next Temple?  Note: There is some dispute and doubt as to whether this is the same Temple as "the Antichrist" temple described by Jesus in the New Testament!  The reasoning is that Jesus referred to "the Holy Place" in Matt. 24:15; which would indicate a Dedicated Temple.  The probability is that it will be a Temple, built by the Jews using the specification shown in Ezek. 40-48, to conform with their religious standing in their Torah!  However; as it is used by the Jews with the permission of the personage known in Scripture as "the man of sin"; ie "the Antichrist"; it will not be sanctioned and Blessed by the Almighty; and His Shekinah will not be present!  This means that what the Jews will revere as sacred, (ie the holy place), is not so; and will not be until God's Temple is built by The Messiah!  If this thinking is correct, there will be a 3rd temple, as described above, which will be renewed or destroyed at the end of the Tribulation period; and the 4th Temple will be the Kingdom/Millennial Dwelling of Jehovah God, and His Son Messiah Christ Jesus; and they will Rule the world together; "and their Name shall be One" (Zech. 14:9)!  This Temple is described in Ezek. 40 to 48, and is where the Jews take their prophesied position in the world “as a Kingdom of priests unto God” (Exod. 19:6; Rev. 1:6; 5:10 & 20:6)!  They shall also rule upon the Earth with Christ Jesus for 1000 years; and the Nations will hold them in high regard, visiting The King (Christ Jesus and The Father) at least once every year; (Zech. 14:16-19).  It is also significant to note that the Glory of God, “the Shekinah”, also returns to Earth to take up a position in and above the Kingdom Temple; (Ezek. 43:1-9 & Isa. 4:1-6); which had been built by Christ Jesus! (Zech. 6:12).  Also as shown in Ezek. 43:27, the Jews are "accepted" again; and are, therefore "Ammi" (My People)!  In that day; “the Lord shall be King over all the Earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and His Name shall be One!

From the above, it is easy to see that the Jews (the chosen people) are yet to be saved from themselves and the world!  The reason for this is that God never breaks a Vow that He makes, and they are “much loved” by God, despite their poor history (see Malachi).

Almighty God will save Israel as He has promised, but the next major event in that context is Zech.12:10.

However, prior to that, God’s dealings with the Gentiles must reach “culmination”, when all the Gentiles who will be saved is reached, (Romans 11:25–26).  It is our prayer that you, and all people who are in your position will be included in that great number of Gentiles, Saved by the blood of Christ Jesus!
