Question: What means the expression: “He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures” in Luke 24:45?
To the Christian, when the stage is reached that they study the Bible seriously, they will want answers to the inevitable questions!
In the case of Luke 24:45, the Lord had risen, and was no longer talking to His people in parables, and He gave clear and open meanings!
He also promised that when He Ascended that He would “send the Comforter”; (Jhn.16:5–11).
“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you, and He will convince the world of sin, and righteousness, and of judgment”
It is an interesting and observable fact that sincere and prayerful study of the Bible produces that information and much more as well!
