Tattoos and 'Body Marking'?

Question: Can you explain what Paul meant by “marking” the Body in Colossians?

Google: What does the Bible say about marking your bodies?

Today they're common everywhere from Maori communities in New Zealand to office parks in Ohio.  But in the ancient Middle East, the writers of the Hebrew Bible forbade tattooing.  Per Leviticus 19:28, “You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves”.

The context in the above, and in Col. 19:26–28, and 19:32, is linked to idol worship and Satanic practices, which were common in the past; and are growing again in popularity!

These practices are of course Satanic, and show where a person’s focus is!

Where the mark or number is forced upon people, such as occurred to Jews and others during the Second World War; then the wrath of God eventually falls onto the perpetrator!

The next most severe happening in this context is likely to be the “mark of the beast”, as described in the 13th. Chapter of Revelation:
