Question: What happened to the Israelites after they lost their Ark of the Covenant?
It went with Almighty God, when He vacated the Temple, after Solomon's death, see link, and Israel became increasingly aberrant!
The question has been posed; “where is the Ark at the present time"? When it is realised how crucial to God His Word is to all His dealings and relationship with His people Israel, then it follows that He would not want it to be desecrated by falling into the hands of His great enemy Satan! There is reference to it in Revelation 11:19, where it is seen in "the Temple of God in Heaven"; and it is thus seen after the "Seventh Trumpet" has sounded in Heaven and the "the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ"!
Thus we see that its next appearing awaits that great day; and that may also be linked to the next Temple in Jerusalem! As Ezekiel had seen the "Glory" of God leave the Temple and City in Ezek.11:23 because of the behaviour and infidelity of Israel since the departure from Egypt, so in Ezek. 43 he saw and prophesied the return to the same Site and new Temple, in the yet future. The implication is that the “Shekinah' is God's Glorious presence, and "Ark", (His Foundational Word unbroken) is with Him!
