Matthew 24 Audience!

Question:  What is the beginning of sorrows in Matthew Chapter Twenty-Four?  What are they?  What are some examples from history or today’s world where this could possibly apply to?

First, it is important to realize that Jesus, all the way to the Cross, was mainly talking to His Fathers  Chosen People”! (Matt.15:24).

Therefore, when He spoke, as per. Matt. 24; they are the main target audience.

However; as per. prophecy, the Gentiles are the main target now, and have been since Acts 28: 25–28; which corresponds with Isa. 6:9–10!

This preamble is given to try to give the position of the Jews and Gentiles their current position of importance with Almighty God!

Since Acts 28, the Gospel of Salvation has been mainly presented to the Gentiles, as they are the “sheep of another fold” which Jesus referred to (John 10:16).

That does not mean that Jews cannot enter into Christ Jesus’ BODY; but they labour under a self-imposed “veil” on their understanding!

Turning to the events of Matt. 24, the following is descriptive of that information.
