Jesus' and David's Kingdom

Question: God promised King David that his Kingdom will be firmly established forever (2Samuel 7:16).  How will this happen?

Sam. 7:16 refers to the continued line of David in Christ Jesus; which is showing context in the preamble, but is clearly referring to the Ultimate Reign of Christ Jesus on Earth; and later in Heaven!

Much confusion is possible in this reading, if one is not aware of the Title used for Israel (“My first born son”); and that of Jesus (“My only begotten Son”)!

The text switches back and forth between the Two; and also gives again the warning given in Deuteronomy of the consequences for the “first born son” in vs.14–16, of bad behaviour regarding their fidelity to Almighty God; which as history shows (Malachi etc.) resulted in the declaration of Lo-Ammi (not My people), at Acts 28:25–28 (Isa.6:9–10), which will remain with the Jews until Zech.12:10!

The authenticity is confirmed by Nathan, when he directs his vision comments to David in the close of the comments, v.17!
