Question: What is the exegesis of John 1:1-18?
John 1:1–5: The Word, with God created all.
In Him (The Word-Jesus) was/is Life “the light of men”!
He shone in the darkness; the darkness did not understand it!
John 1:6–13: John (the Baptist) was sent to tell of the coming of Jesus; His own did not/would not receive Him!
John1:14–18: The Word became flesh, dwelt among men, they saw his Glory, “the Glory of the only Begotten Son of God” (as opposed to the first born, the Jews) see Link below.
John bore witness to Jesus, saying; “the Law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth come through Jesus the Christ; He has declared Him”.
