Dominion over Creation

Question: In PSALM 8:6-9, what is meant by “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou has put all things under His feet: All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea….”?

Dr. E.W. Bullinger in the ‘Companion Bible’ splits the 150 Psalms into 5 books.

1–41: THE GENESIS BOOK; CONCERNING MAN.

42–72: THE EXODUS BOOK; CONCERNING ISRAEL.

73–89: THE LEVITICUS BOOK; CONCERNING THE SANCTUARY.

90–106: THE NUMBERS BOOK; CONCERNING ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH.

107–150: THE DEUTERONOMY BOOK; CONCERNING GOD AND HIS WORD.

Dr. E. W. Bullinger (Hebrew and Greek Scholar, author Companion Bible)

Those particular verses (6–8), refer to mortal man, but verses 1, 3 & 4, refer to Jesus as only He refers to Himself as “the son of man”.
