CHRIST

CHRIST’S RETURN FOR HIS REMNANT (Israel)

Extracts and comments from Revelation Chapters 5:13 & 14:14-15

5.13

(a)And every created thing which is in Heaven and on the Earth, and under the Earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, “Blessing, and honour, and glory, and (b)power for Government, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever”.

In Rev. 5:13, a notable exclusion in the text from the Greek to the English translation in KJV, is "power for Government", which is the main point that is about to take place on Earth with Christ as King in Jerusalem.  The reason for its omission is certainly due to the fact that the Roman and English Churches, and other erroneous groups, are not focused on what is coming, but on the power they hold now, over peoples, communities and Countries.  Heaven and Earth has been awaiting this great, blessed and momentous event, when man's rule ends, and Jehovah/Messiah's rule starts.  All people of good will are looking forward to this event eagerly, in similar vein to the angels’ message and joy when The baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

14.14

And I saw, and beheld a white cloud, and upon the cloud (a)One sitting like unto the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a (b)sharp sickle.

"Son of Man"; this is the last occurrence of this title.  This is the title Jesus applied to Himself (Matt. 8:20).  The meaning "He who has dominion in the Earth", (page 1324 Comp.).  When used of ordinary men, it never has the definite article, (Ezk. 2:1).  As Christ is The Ultimate Man, the definite used.  This last use of this title is the 87th since Matt. 8:20, and the precursor in Psalm 8.  Its use here, the last, denotes a change in the role of Christ.  Here, as "King of the Jews", with a "golden crown", instead of a "crown of thorns", He is about to reap, Matt. 13:24-30, and many other references.

"Sharp sickle"; definite act about to be performed by Christ, harvesting and separating.

14.15

And another (c)Angel came out of the Temple, crying with a loud voice to Him sitting on the cloud, “thrust in Thy Sickle, and reap: for the (d)time is come for Thee to reap; for the harvest of the Earth is ripe”.

"Angel"; the Son of Man, awaits the message FROM THE TEMPLE IN HEAVEN, the timing is the FATHER'S ALONE!

"The time is come to reap"; when our Lord referred to The Harvest, during His time on Earth with His people, the Jews, He frequently made reference to this harvest.  He had stated that "I come only to the lost sheep of Israel" (Matt. 15:24), and here He is reaping the "remnant", who have not been killed by Satan and his forces.  This remnant has to be saved to fulfil the promise of God, that Israel would never cease on Earth, (see earlier references).  This "remnant", much quoted in O.T. passages, is also to be the nucleus of the future "ideal Israel", "JESHURUN", together with resurrected worthy Israel!
