Question: After reading 1Corinthians 7:25-40, what are your thoughts? How may this be speaking directly to you?
It is not speaking to anybody of this present Age Time, as it was written by the Apostle Paul in AD 57, when the expectation was that the Lord’s return to Earth was imminent; 7:29!
Paul at that time was still teaching to “the Jew first”, and as such was extending the Lord’s teaching, as he had been commissioned to!
That continued up to AD 63 approx. and changed at Acts 28:25–28, when the Jew was made Lo-Ammi (not My people); a condition they are still in, and will remain in until Zech.12:10 arrives!
The expectation then was that the lives of people should be ordered as they will be in the “Kingdom of God on Earth”, the Millennial!
The Gentile became the “first priority” at AD 63, and will remain so until Romans 11:25!
