Question: Did the Ancient Hebrews also used to worship Baal, or is it only the Phoenicians?
The Ancient Hebrews had bad cases of “backsliding” into “Idolatry”, which gave Almighty God great pain!
It was these very actions which went against the Law and the teachings of Moses, which revealed eventually the planning of God for His Saving of the Hebrews in His self- sacrifice in Christ Jesus!
This was embodied in the Second Covenant which was revealed by Jesus at His ”last Supper” with His Disciples; which the Jews rejected at Acts 28:25–28 (prophesied in Isa. 6: 9–10) .
The detailed account of that “backsliding” and sin is given in Malachi.
From Acts 28:28, the Gentiles became the main object of God’s Salvation (Rom.11:25–27), and will remain so until Zech.12:10; except for those Jews who can see through the veil!
